Playing out in a sequence of hallucinogenic undulations, [Double Goer] is not a destination but another precarious moment teetering on the edge of understanding what Poolboy is, and what it may become.

Biography

Poolboy is a slow-burning, atmospheric alternative band from Minneapolis, Minnesota. Their songs are hosts to entities they don't quite understand. In 2017, they were named City Pages' Best New Band.

They formed in early 2015, and released a self-titled, self-produced EP in February of 2016, which was mastered by Huntley Miller (Bon Iver, Now, Now). Throughout their history, Poolboy has headlined at many of the Twin Cities' most exciting venues, including: First Avenue - 7th Street Entry, The Turf Club, Mortimer's, Icehouse Mpls, and Amsterdam Bar and Hall.

"Double Goer", Poolboy's new 5 song EP, was released Friday, July 27, 2018. "Double Goer" was recorded and produced by Poolboy & Johnny Kermott, mixed by Brett Bullion (Bad, Bad Hats, Now, Now) and mastered by Huntley Miller. Listen to the EP above.
